bald frog!

So I was trying to answer a random question on my profile, and this prompt came up. When I tried to submit, it said my response was too long. I'm just going to post it here.

The children are waiting! Tell them about the story of the frog with a wig.

OKAY DOKAY.

Once upon a time ago, all frogs had hair. Their hair was so long and voluminous, and all the frogs were very proud of what sprouted upon their scalps. Now, it was a very odd sight to see a bald frog. If one was sighted, the other frogs would stare and scoff at the bald frogs.

Down in the village of Rampoogle, almost everyone had long hair that was so long that it reached their webbed feet. However, there was one frog who did not have hair like this. This frog once had hair, but lost all of it in a freak lily pad accident. Everyday he would walk into the village and the other frogs would, indeed, scoff at him. He was very sad. Every night, he lamented to his mother about how outcast he felt.

One night, his mother revealed that she found a wig shop in the bordering village of Shampoogle. The next morning, the two set off to Shampoogle to go wig shop where the bald frog chose a long, blond wig. He put it on his head and hopped back into his village of Rampoogle with his mother. The other frogs hardly recognized the formerly bald and welcomed him back into the village.

That night, the now not bald frog did not lament to his mother. He removed his wig and placed it on his bedside. The next morning, he awoke to hysteria and chaos. The frog placed his wig on his bald scalp and asked his mother what was happening. She said that the night before, eleven frogs were found dead with the tops of their heads bitten off and nobody knew why. A committee was set up to figure out what was happening.

The next day, the committee figured out that a strange bird was coming and eating frogs at night. They had captured the bird and placed it under interrogation. The strange bird said that the heads of the frogs looked extremely delicious and that he and his family were eating them. They then killed the bird. All the frogs went under a panic and started shaving their long hair off. The strange birds never returned.

Now, the bald frog was very happy that he didn't have to shave his head; all he had to do was throw his wig away. Eventually, the frogs adapted to not grow hair anymore. And that is why frogs don't have hair. :)
